Linda has a heart to heal marriages, but even more than that she has a
heart to heal lives. She and her husband Marv have experienced the pain of a
disrupted marriage and the confusion of wondering where God was in the midst
of trauma. Their individual searches for God bring connection and healing to
broken hearts.
Linda and Marv are available to speak as individuals or as a couple on a
variety of topics tailored to your groups' individual needs.
Workshop at AMFM Conference: Linda and Marv presented a
workshop at the Association of Marriage and Family Ministry Conference
(AMFM), on August 4, 2010, entitled "Separated But Not Divorced: Helping the
Separated Heal Their Marriages." The Conference took place in Phoenix,
Arizona at the Arizona Grand Resort. For more information, go to www.amfmonline.com
CDs of the workshop are available.
The above workshop can also be given at individual churches. If you would
like to have Linda and Marv teach staff or lay persons in your church how to minister
to these hurting and lonely people in your congregation, please contact Linda

Some of Linda's more popular speaking topics are listed
below.
Most Popular Topics include:
Finding Your Happy-Ever-After When The Fairy Dust Disappears
By the time we reach 35, many of us women find our much anticipated "happy-ever-after"
beginning to elude us. Where did it go? How did we miss it?
At some point the fairy dust disappears, and real life hits us hard - and it
hurts. But it doesn't have to defeat us. Those tough times can
make us stronger. It can make us better persons. And our
happy-ever-after may be waiting for us on the other side.
Detours on the Road to Success
We all have certain plans of our own, ideas of how we think we want our lives
to go. When our plans are interrupted, we become frustrated and
annoyed. But sometimes there's another plan that is bigger than
ours, and better than ours.
This talk is appropriate for both men and women
Sitting at the Red Light
This talk is directed to men and women who are separated or dealing with a
marital crisis that seems to have no immediate resolution. From the
writings of Broken Heart on Hold, Linda brings a message of healing and hope
for the brokenhearted.
This can be a talk for a single meeting or expanded into a weekend event that
will challenge participants to grow in areas that can bring healing and
change.
How Do I Love Thee? Let Me Count the Ways.
We women were created to love and be loved. Yet sometimes that love we
long for from others eludes or disappoints us. Linda Rooks, author of Broken
Heart on Hold, takes us on a journey into the heart of love. Together
we explore its sweetness, its mystery, its adventure, its confusion and its
promise. Bring your mental camera. You may see pictures of love
you didn't expect, but will want to remember.
"How Do I Love Thee" can either be a one-time talk to a woman's group, or a
retreat for women. Retreat Sessions include: Finding the Unconditional
Love We Want; If God Really Loves Me, Why Did This Bad Thing Happen?;
Pictures of God's Love: A Tour of Our Favorite Love Stories; Love's
Paradox.
